No electric kettle in European Hotels?

Hi all,

I just heard that most European hotels don%26#39;t provide electric hotpots, France inclusive. Is that true? Would that mean that I%26#39;d have to buy hot water from the hotel cafe everday?

That is true... but you may be able to request free hot water daily, or you could bring one from home with the correct extensions.

Depends where you%26#39;re staying. All Kyriad hotels have a kettle for coffee. Mercuer and Ibis hotels also have some.

The Hilton has them...but then again it%26#39;s not a French chain.

Pretty much all of the chain hotels I%26#39;ve stayed in in France have either had kettles or they were they once asked.

I don%26#39;t think any family run hotels provided any.
