is this for a trip to paris especially and only?

or does he plan to continue learning french and keep going and going and going?

if its just for a trip, i got Fodors French for Travellers pack, which has 2 audio cd%26#39;s and a phrase book, which helps cuz u can see spellings, etc, and it has some extra tips and a dictionary thingy in the back.

It has sections such as %26quot;approaching people%26quot;, %26quot;the basics%26quot;, %26quot;at the airport%26quot;, %26quot;getting around%26quot;, %26quot;dining out%26quot;

i listen to it to and from work in the car almost everyday and im slowly but surely gettin some stuff down.

but if its not for a trip then.............nevermind. this isnt a normal introduction to french part 1 course material, its just the phrases you need on your trip.

Try BARRON%26#39;S Basic French for just what the name implies. But, since most language tapes %26amp; CDs tend to be costly, first try going down to your local public or college library and find out what they have to boorow to find out which will suit you best...before you spend your money. At least for the basics, you can play the tapes or CDs in the car as you commute to work or go about your daily errands.
