In the spring, my husband and I will be traveling to Provence with our 2 year old. Any suggestions regarding child-friendly accomodations and/or restaurants would be appreciated.

We had a car and stayed at the Hotel de l%26#39;Atelier in Villeneuve les Avignon. It is one of our favorite hotels ever... we had a large room with a patio that led into a garden where the kids could play. There was a restaurant nearby where you dined around the pool, jumping in and out as you wished (the hotel will know where it is) and another local family run restaurant with garden dining and a swing set.
We also dined at a very family friendly Michelin star restaurant in Fayence called Castellaras. There is a lovely outdoor terrace, so your two year old and roam a bit while you dine. We warned the restaurant in advance, and they had no problem with the kids wandering around the grounds (not in the dining area, but outside we could always see them).
