Jules Verne or Maison Blanche

Hi - we will be in Paris for only 3 nights. We want to go to Jules Verne or La Maison Blanche one of the nights. We are looking for a fun atmosphere (not stuffy) good food and something stylish. We are in our late 30%26#39;s. Which would you pick?

Just to give you an idea, we tried La Tour last trip and it was too stuffy. We don%26#39;t want to repeat our mistake. We love Champagne and seafood and do not want an 8 course/5 hour meal. We are staying at the Four Seasons.

Other suggestions???

i%26#39;ve never been to jules verne, but to la maison-blanche one time. the decor is modern, a bit fashion, on a saturday night it becomes a night club. i liked it a lot,and will return. it%26#39;s expensive, but i think less than jules vernes (for 2 with meals, one glass of wine each, and a dessert it cost us 110 euros more or less for dinner). it%26#39;s stylish, and when we were there the waiters were very nice, we had free appetizers (little things like vegetables soups). i was there 2 years ago, but i dont think it changed.

oh, and you wont stay 5 hours and have a 8 courses meal, we choose on the menu, and stayed one hour and a half something like that, taking our time. i dont know what stuffy means, but i know i liked maison blanche and clients were chic and not too old, lots of 30%26#39;s people, and waiters nice (even if we did not spend a lot comparing to other clients). my friend took poultry and they had put musrooms under the skin of the poultry, i had fish (sole) with puree it was very good, and well presented.

Maison Blanche is much more stylish than Jules Verne. However, there is something about dining so high above Paris.

Other stylish suggestions with excellent food in the same price range; L%26#39;Astrance in the 16th. One of the toughest in Paris table but worth the effort. Surprisingly affordable for the quality, still $200-$300.

L%26#39;Angle du Faubourg in the 8th, the less expensive restaurant of Taillevent. Very creative food, cool minimalist interior, extensive wine list , and I mean extensive, with many affordable choices.

Finally Relais Plaza in the Plaze Athenee on Avenue Montaigne in the 8th. Alain Ducase%26#39;s other restaurant in the hotel. Aboslutely superb.
