Can someone tell me the best way to get to Normandy for a day? I know there are tour companies that do a day trip - are any specifically recommended? What about the train? Any links, etc... would be helpful! Thanks!

Normandy is a region, so you will have to be more specific.

You can take the train and rent a car or find a local tour in Normandy. Or, you can rent a car in Paris and drive it all youself.
You could also take a tour bus from Paris, here is a web site for one company.

I think you will enjoy a day trip to Normandy, the countryside is beautiful.
You may occasionally see some graffiti along the way, but it is so artfully done that you may think that it is advertising.
The people of Normandy are very friendly and are genuinely appreciative of the English, Canadian and American sacrifices during WWII.
