7th arondissement - much to do?

Hi,

I%26#39;m going to be staying in the 7th in the middle of February but, besides the Eiffel Tower, am not really sure what is in this district. I%26#39;m slightly concerned that it will be really quiet! Is this the case or are there plenty of things to see and do or plenty of places to go in the evening?

Also, how far is it to walk to the st Germain and latin areas from the 7th?

Thanks for your help.

It depends on where you will be... St Gemain des Pres is about 5 minutes from my apartment in the 7th, but I live pretty far from the Eiffel Tower.

The Rodin Museum, Les Invalides and the rue Cler market are are other popular attractions in this arrondisement.

On the bright side, this is Paris and everything is merely a metro away.

For the most part, the neighborhoods of the 7th--Invalides/Ecole Militaire are redidential/institutional/commercial--with the exception of the Rue Cler %26#39;enclave%26#39;. During the day, you will probably be out and about in the %26#39;rest of Paris%26#39; but in the evenings, these neighborhood will be quiet. The most active spot in the 7th in the evenings will be the ECOLE MILITAIRE Metro station , with people etiher leaving for or returning from %26#39;..somewhere else..%26#39; in Paris. The good news is that the %26#39;rest of Paris%26#39; is only a few miutes away by Metro.

It will take you perhaps 20-30 minutes to walk from the general vicinity of rue Cler to the %26#39;action%26#39; of the 6th--Saint Germain des Pres and 5th-Latin Quarter--longer to the Seine and up into the 3rd-Marais.
