Are the late shows topless at the clubs?

Nightclubs-are the late shows topless and the early dinner shows covered up--like in Vegas?

|||

Even the deodorant ads at the bus stops feature topless women. C%26#39;est Paris!

|||

Yeah, I%26#39;m pretty sure there%26#39;re all topless but I could be wrong as I%26#39;ve never been to a midday show.

|||

if you want to see topless women or even all naked, go to strip clubs, like pink paradise, hustler or string fellows (the nicest is string fellows). they do show all night long and in some you can pay an extra to go in a private saloon and see naked women that do lap dancing, it%26#39;s not like p=ep shows it%26#39;s more chic, but well some dont like it.

|||

Well because Cybertraveler%26#39; has a 9-year old son, I guessed that he/she was asking because they%26#39;ll be taking the kid and not cos they wanted to see naked women :)

|||

lol ok

Actually, we are leaving the kids at home for this one evening out! But we were looking at the prices for the dinner show at the Lido and it had the price for a kids meal and I was curious if this was common for kids to go to these types of variety shows. And maybe, the dinner show (early show) was not topless?? Just curious--I wouldn%26#39;t take my kids, but I know that we Americans are very prudish ;).

I%26#39;ve read in reviews that it is best to skip the dinner shows, as the food is rather industrial and quite expensive. As for the nine year, bring some spoons so you can scoop his eyeballs off the floor and back into his head. I know one expat Mom who avoids the metro with her preteen boys because %26quot;you never know what ads you will run into down there.%26quot;

Gosh, Does she lock her husband up in a hotel? I hope with no access to cable tv?? ;) I am prepared to deal with the kids and the more free attitude in Paris. They are ages 6 and 9. Mostly plan to ignore it unless they have some interesting questions. They usually keep us quite entertained with their comentary on life. My biggest problem will be with them saying things about smokers! They both HATE smoke and I have a hard time keeping them from saying things like, %26quot;mommy, look at that guy he is SMOKING%26quot;, %26quot;eeewww, that smoke is stinky%26quot;, or %26quot;is she going to die from smoking?%26quot;. I will be having a pretrip session on keeping our thoughts inside of our head rather than blurting them out. :)

In my opinion, you would have a better experience in taking a dinner cruise down the Seine instead of going to one of those dinner shows at the Moulin Rouge or Lido. However, you probably not see anyone topless on the dinner cruise.

Go ahead let them make a scene about the smokers... maybe it will help get this city moving on the issue.

I was at a cafe with a group of Parisians and they were fanning their hands and complaining loudly to the smokers, despite the fact that some of the complainers were smokers themselves, but they couldn%26#39;t smoke as only the non-smoking section was large enough to accommodate our group!

You could also try the bistro at the Lutecia Hotel in the St Germain neighborhood... they have a good kid%26#39;s menu and a decent non smoking section, as does La Coupole at Montparnasse.

Look at the ads this way, it prepares the kids for all the nudity they will be appreciating at the Louvre and d%26#39;Orsay.
