There is a tres chic, and a tad cher restaurant on the 6th level of the Centre G. Pompidou, called Georges. The design of the place has won international acclaim, the view is splendid and the food okay.

Le Vin Sobre at 25 rue des Feuillantines in the 5th... 01 43 29 00 23, corner St Jacques is a great little neighborhood restaurant, and there is a jazz club just across the street.

A really wonderful, intimate, reasonably priced restaurant on Rue Mouffetard is Jardin d%26#39;Artemis. We have been there the last 2 times we visited Paris and have never been disappointed. Be sure to have their salad with caviar d%26#39;aubergine. Also, just sit and have coffee on the Place de Contrascarpe and just people watch. It too is intimate and lively at the same time. Both those are in the 5th, near the Pantheon.
