One word: umbrella

You really never know...but anticapate 50% precipitation....Having said that, we were there last year for 6 days and had nothing but 45-55 and sun...

AFAIK, most major US networks have links in europe such that your cell phone gets coverage. The trick though is in having a tri-band phone that works in both the USA and Europe.

Hi,
Have been to Paris twice in March (and going this year) for the month. It%26#39;s not unlike Suffern in March. Could be a week or so of %26quot;Spring Thaw%26quot;, if you are lucky or it can be lousy, cold and even snow (though not much). One year we had about 10 days of summerlike weather, another year the whole month was the pits for weather....quite cold, rain almost all the time...... but its still Paris and still wonderful! Just be prepared and you will be ok.....layer and brings gloves.

We have been to Paris in March and April for the last 4 years, and oddly enough, the weather in March was warm and sunny, and 70 degrees, while sometimes it was rainy and cold in April. It just depends... prepare for rain, but hope for sun. I have never worn a very heavy coat, just the LL Bean rain jacket with a hood, roomy enough for a sweater under it if the weather gets cold. A couple of times -- in April -- I%26#39;ve had to wear a scarf and gloves. You just need to be prepared to layer.
Check out the weather conditions 10 days in advance, so you%26#39;ll have an idea what to expect:

The more I read about Paris weather, the more concerned I get. We are traveling last week of April - 1st week of May. I thought weather would be rather like London but it %26quot;sounds%26quot; from these posts rather colder. Was in London last March and wore leather pants, turtleneck and coat, gloves and hat and it was fine. I am thinking now that I need to pack more and heavier. Is this right?

With regard to cell phones, your best bet is to rent a European compatable phone in the US from your domestic carrier. The phone will likely be a UK phone and will work anywhere in western Europe. I rent from Verizon, but I am fairly certain ATT%26amp;T and Sprint have similar programs.
