Hotel des grandes ecoles

We%26#39;ve pretty much made our mind up about this particular hotel. All the reviews seemed to be really high. Has anyone stayed here that could tell us a little about it? We are 3 persons - will the room be large enough for us? Is there A/C? Or will we even need it - the end of May/first of June. Any little cafe, etc. that close that we shouldn%26#39;t miss. Also, whats the most inexpensive way to get there from the airport? Big question: Some places give a discount, free night, etc. if you stay so many nights - does this one? Is there a way, maybe going thru a service, to get the rooms a little cheaper. We are trying to save at every corner! Thanks so much

Hi!!!

I never stayed in this hotel before...there is a lot of reviews about it....

In the same area, I stayed at the hotel Cardinal Rive Gauche, a 3 star hotel too with affordable prices...The area is really great, not far away from Place d%26#39;Italie, a very liveful area, not far from Rue Mouffetard, a great area for restaurants and bars...It is really a good area. This hotel is very clean and rooms are of good size for Paris hotel. Il et you the website : http://www.hotelcardinal.com!

Enjoy your trip to Paris!

We stayed at this hotel some years ago and were not all that happy. I asked for a nice room with a balcony/view since it was my husband%26#39;s first trip to Paris. They put us on the rez de chausse-ground level in a small dumpy room. We were able to move to a higher floor the next night with a slightly better room but the price also changed and it wasn%26#39;t all that great. Pretty garden and great location. I was disappointed though. The daughter is not the most friendly of people either. I love this area and you can walk all over from here. Plenty of restaurants and cafes and everything close by. We thought it was quite overpriced for what you get. By the way, our rooms did not look much like the ones in their photos on their website. Good luck.

We stayed there a few years ago and loved it. We had a beautiful room on the 3rd floor, my mother had the room below us. They were corner rooms that looked out over the garden and the walkway up from the street. We loved that area. We just got back and would have stayed there again but rented an apartment this time. We didn%26#39;t have ac but it wasn%26#39;t a problem. We left all windows open and had good circulation. I would recommend it. The are around there is really fun.
