We are staying on Rue Rochambeau near the Square Montholo. I have heard that there are areas in the 9th that are a bit seedy...it%26#39;s a big city, I fully expect that. The 9th is a big place too, anyone know about this neighborhood in particular? Any info on this area or tips on good eats and shops is welcome.

There are parts of the upper 9th %26amp; 10th which are a little seedy but down where you will be located around Square de Montholon (rue Rochambeau?) will be pleasant enough---especially if your aparment has a view out over the park.

We are on the first floor, which I assume means the first floor above the shops on the bottom floor. I am so pleased, as I have only seen photos of the inside of the apartment.
