Attire for Men

Hello!

My husband and I are taking our first trip to Paris and I%26#39;ve been reading the board about white tennis shoes :-) :-) - my husbands favorite pair of shoes. :-)

What is the proper attire for men during the day? What kind of shoes other then sneakers? And what about at dinner?

My husband is your typical polo shirt and khakis or polo shirt and jeans and I%26#39;m guessing that%26#39;s not going to work??

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

The proper attire for men during the day is the one in which your husband will feel the better!!

During the working days i wear a suit but on week ends I wear khakis, jeans and such like some millions of other people. So no thrills about that. I don%26#39;t like sneakers, I prefer to wear walking shoes such as Timberlands for example. I think that it%26#39;s better to walk, as it holds the ankles better and protects the foot against rubs on the shoe (if you wear a thick pair of socks with it). But that%26#39;s personnal to me, don%26#39;t think that white sneakers are that bad here. Really, nobody cares here about that.

If you go to a fancy restaurant, avoid jeans and sneakers, men are supposed to wear a jacket and leather shoes, just like in many restaurants in the US.

So to make it short : your husband typical polo shirt and khakis or polo shirt and jeans are perfectly going to work :))
