Train pass

We will be visiting France this May-June for two weeks and might fly to Paris then take the train from there or take the train from London, we want to visit the Charente region Limousin through to Burgundy or vice-versa and spending a few days at each spot before traveling back to Paris/London. We want a train pass which would allow us to travel quite freely between these areas when we want. We really need a walk-on train pass as we do not want to be tied to only a few days at each place because we had to book in advance. Does anyone know what type of ticket allows us this freedom, where we are best buying it ( France /UK ) %26amp; do they know if there are any special prices for the over 50%26#39;s. Many thanks
