Hi, I am going to Nice for 3 nights in March. Can anyone recommend some good restaurants and bars that aren%26#39;t too pricey? Thanks.

Hi,

depends on what kind of food you like,

but if you want to try local food, go in the old town (avoid Cours Saleya for restaurants where most of restaurants are for tourists :-), but bars are ok) ; and most of the english pubs are in the old town, you should enjoy.

there are lots of chinese restaurants between the rail station and the avenue Medecin, almost all the sames.

an easy restaurant to find is Le Comptoir, in the street before Cours Saleya, where you can have lunch/diner (not too expensive) and direct access to the discotheque La Suite.

But there are so many restaurants in Nice that you should take a tourist guide.

check that site www.allaboutnice.com. You have plenty of info on restaurants there. Or you may also visit www.restos.fr and search for Nice.

We have just returned this weekend waynes bar in the old town is the cheapest in Nice It also does good cheap food. and English chips There also a great Irish pub O malleys around the corner (rue de Droite ) The Italian restaurants are defnitely the cheapest . Stay in the old town though its much more quaint and cheaper. The restaurants along the promenade are very pricey. Theres always Mcdonalds on the promenade
