Photography Museum?

My girlfriend is in to photography and film

Are there any really good museums that would be of interest?

She is trying to research too, and found Maison Europe de la Photographie 5/7 rue de Fourcy in the 4th

Anyone been there?

You should check the following web page. It lists a few dozen museums dedicated to photography. Remember, this is Paris. It has just about everything.

The Maison European in the 4th is a great place to start.

There is also the Centre Nationale de la Photographie at 11 rue Berryer in the 8th where they exhibit famous collections and also display the works up and coming artists.

The d%26#39;Orsay has a space dedicated to their collection of 19th century works while the Pompidou excels in 20th century photography.

The Yvon Lambert gallerie at 108 rue Veille du Temple represents some of the best known photographers of our day and it is well worth a peek.

The Galerie Nationale du Jeu de Paume (At Tuileries gardens) will be the new Photography and image national museum. Is now open?
