I am planning my trip in 1 week and I would like to spend some time in Montmarte. I was going to do the walking tour but wondered if anyone had suggestions of places to eat for lunch or a nice street with local shopping. Any suggestions appreciated.

At Monmartre just off the square there is a restaurant
that serves a very nice lunch and gets you away
from the crowds.
You might also take in Sacre Coeur while you are
there.

Try the wine bar Aux Negociants at 27 rue Lambert if you want to avoid the tourist based places around the Place du Tertre.
