Taxi/Shuttle

We have always caught a Taxi from CDG to hotel. There are four of us and it seems if you check on Shuttle the price is higher. It was cheaper when you can bargin with Taxi Driver and get a fare at about $50.00. Is this still true or is a shuttle now a better way.

I can%26#39;t comment on the shuttle, but my wife and I were in Paris two weeks ago and took a taxi to/from the airport - it was about 40 euros (including tip) for the two of us each time, or about $52. I thought it was a good deal, especially in light of my reluctance to try to find the shuttle at CDG after an overnight flight from the U.S. Also, I believe the shuttle would only drop you off at a central location (possibly near a metro stop), so you%26#39;d still have to make your way from the shuttle stop to your hotel.

With a pary of four, even with the 2,60 Euro surcharge for a 4th passenger and ,90 Euro surcharge for each piece of luggage that goes into the trunk, a taxi from CDG into central Paris will be at least comparable to the best price for an airport shuttle service. If you do decide to take a taxi, take ONLY those from the regular taxi stand out in front of every CDG Arrival terminal exit and only those with the TAXI PARISIEN light on the room. You CANNOT %26#39;..bargain..%26#39; with a licensed Paris taxi (I don%26#39;t ever recall when you could)...and if you can, take another taxi because whomever you%26#39;re %26#39;..bargaining..%26#39; with is NOT licensed. Just about every airport taxi %26#39;..horror story..%26#39; I%26#39;ve ever began with, %26quot;..So this guy comes up to me and offers me a %26#39;deal%26#39; because...%26quot; and ends with, %26quot;..I was ROBBED..%26quot;.
